Yes, animal chiropractic is real and it really does work! Those who have completed a Doctorate of Chiropractic (DC) or Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree are eligible to attend animal chiropractic school. After successfully completing animal chiropractic school, there are certification exams (similar to medical board speciality exams) for both the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association and the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association that can be taken to be considered certified in animal chiropractic. If it is indicated during your appointment, your neck may be adjusted. If you are not comfortable with having your neck adjusted manually (by hand), let Dr. Zoe know during your intake exam and she will go over alternatives that may be better for you and your body.

Sports chiropractic is exactly what is sounds like: chiropractic care for athletes of all kinds! While you don’t need certain credentials to work on athletes as a chiropractor, there are a few certifications that sports chiropractors may have in addition to their D.C. degrees.
