Sports Chiropractic in the 2024 Paris Olympics

Thanks to the work of the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic (FICS), all athletes participating in the 2024 Paris Olympics will be receiving chiropractic care.

Research studies support that chiropractic care for athletes can help reduce pain, increase mobility, reduce inflammation, promote faster recovery times, and more. Having access to highly specialized sports chiropractors is a major step forward for athletes around the world having equal access to holistic healthcare and improving athletic performance.

All sports chiropractors working on the Olympic athletes are ICSC certified. An International Certificate in Sports Chiropractic is obtained by chiropractors who go through extensive training after finishing their Doctorate of Chiropractic degrees to become specialized in sports chiropractic.

While this is an incredible opportunity that FICS has provided for these athletes, this is not the first time that FICS has provided amazing care to these athletes. This organization has repeatedly done groundbreaking research on athletes at the World Games, of which Dr. Zoe had the opportunity to meet with them during the 2022 World Games in Birmingham, Alabama.

Because of her work with Sports Chiropractic Club and FICS, Dr. Zoe became one of four recipients in the world to receive the FICS Global Student Scholarship as a 3rd year chiropractic student. She also had the incredible opportunity to serve as their marketing chair of their student commission during her time with FICS. She is proud to be a part of the FICS family to this day.
