Is Chiropractic Good for Animals?

When performed by a formally trained & certified animal chiropractor, like Dr. Zoe, animal chiropractic care can provide incredible results for animals in need.

How do we know chiropractic is good for animals?

In addition to case studies performed on animals receiving chiropractic care, the results truly speak for themselves. Animals experiencing musculoskeletal issues have limited options to get them feeling better.

Those options include: visiting their primary veterinarian for pain medications (which often mask the pain rather than solving the root cause of the pain); visiting a veterinary specialist for orthopedic, neurological or physical therapy solutions (a great option for those who can); or visiting a trained animal chiropractor (a great option for those who can).

How do I know if the animal chiropractor is trained or if they’re faking it?

Not every state requires international or national certification for animal chiropractors to practice. Not every state requires veterinarians to have ANY chiropractic training.

Here are some credentials to look for: IVCA - AVCA - CAC

Here is a list of American-accredited animal chiropractic schools:

  • Options for Animals

  • Animal Chiropractic Education Source (ACES)

  • Parker University

  • Healing Oasis Wellness Center

  • Health Pioneers Institute

Whether your animal chiropractor is a licensed DC or DVM, if they have those credentials and/or attended those animal chiropractic colleges, then they have been formally trained as an animal chiropractor.
